Elektromotive has developed the world‘s first truly generic electric vehicle refuelling network. The Elektrobay has been designed from the ground up as a stylish and durable piece of street furniture. With its sleek and contemporary lines the Elektrobay will blend in naturally to the surroundings whether old or new, and is equally at home installed at the kerb side or in a car park. We can also build the Elektrobay to suit specific requirements such as the colour of the unit or a custom designed installation fixing.
The system has been designed with an intelligent, open-ended architecture that dramatically reduces system monitoring, maintenance and running costs.
The Elektromotive transport system is secure and extremely user friendly, offering a safe, manageable, dedicated power outlet. New and existing battery technology can be integrated into a network with ease. Whether it is an electric scooter, car, van or plug-in hybrid, the Elektrobay offers a stylish, rugged and ergonomic design with innovative, simple access for the user and easy integration into any parking bay.
Elektromotive understand that to enable a power shift in road policy takes more than just cutting edge design. Air quality is a major issue for capital cities around the world and global warming urgently needs to be addressed. Electric vehicles help solve these problems. The team at Elektromotive are dedicated to creating new technology to allow the next generation of alternative energy transport infrastructure to operate.
To access the Elektrobay the user has an electronic tag that communicates wirelessly with the unit. When a valid access tag is presented to the yellow touch point on the Elektrobay, the waterproof access door automatically opens allowing the user to plug their power lead into the socket. Upon closing the access door it locks securely and the power turns on and starts recharging automatically.
The Elektrobay is a very safe design and, as a security feature, once the door is closed and the recharging started it can only be reopened by the same access tag or by one of our service engineers. When the access panel is reopened the power is automatically cut to allow safe removal of the power lead.
The Elektrobay is fitted with an active display panel that informs the user of its current status and can be programmed to notify the user when their Elektrobay access is about to expire. It will also show the user‘s name and vehicle registration number. The bespoke intelligent, electronic, operating software has been designed with many innovative features available to the user. It can be specified for use in any country around the world, exceeds all current safety legislation and is available in almost any colour.
